Cecilia's Birth Experience at Hospital Universitario La Paz
Updated: Apr 9, 2021

Today's mom, Cecilia*, is from The Netherlands and she gave birth at Hospital Universitario La Paz in 2020. She chose La Paz because she felt at ease and familiar with it since her first birth was also there.
Cecilia's Story:
It was my second birth, but in the middle of the pandemic. My partner was there, but only at the last stage of giving birth. While checking in and getting the epidural, he couldn't be present. The staff was helpful and professional.
Did you feel supported in your chosen method of feeding your baby?
Yes. But since it was my second baby I had experienced breastfeeding already, I felt more confident. However different nurses gave different advice on how to get the breastfeeding going.
Thanks Cecilia for sharing your experience of giving birth during the pandemic!
