Ashley's Birth Experience at Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz
Updated: Apr 9, 2021

Ashley*, an American mom in Madrid, gave birth at Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz in 2013. She chose this hospital because it was her assigned public hospital.
Ashley's Story:
I opted for an epidural during active labor and had a vaginal birth with an episiotomy. It's a decent hospital if you plan to go along with their interventions and have an epidural or c-section. If you want a natural labor/birth I would recommend other hospitals such as Torrejón or Rey Juan Carlos.
Did you feel supported in your chosen method of feeding your baby?
Yes. I didn't have anyone come in and speak to me about breastfeeding during my stay at the hospital, but I didn't have problems getting started either.
Thanks for sharing with us, Ashley!
